Xavier High School builds leadership and service
through student participation in the management and cleanliness
of certain areas on campus. Known as Prefects, these student leaders
are selected by their peers and approved by the administration
to lead certain initiatives on campus related to the following
areas:
Task Master
The Task Master is a senior who is elected by the students to
supervise all student work. He possesses an incredible sense of
responsibility, reliability, bravery, and resilience.
Dining Hall Prefects
The school cafeteria is nothing without the dining hall prefects.
They dining hall prefects are a group of sophomores, supervised
by a junior, who are in charge of making sure tha all the students
eat. The also make sure that the water coolers are always filled
with drinking water. They enforce the dining hall rules such as
making sure the dining hall is clean at all times and at a reasonable
volume during meals. The Head Dining Hall Prefect makes sure all
his prefects do their job. Students love them especially when
mackerel is served. - by Benedict

Shower House Prefects
A group of Xavier boys who are assigned to take care of the boys'
showerhouse. They work together, as brothers, to help their brothers...ensuring
that there is adequate water in the tanks for shower. They also
enforce all the showerhouse rules. Without this group of boys,
things would go very badly for the other boys...sometimes very
bad. - by Jesse M'ong
Study Hall Prefects
As study hall prefects, we ensure that the study hall is a comfortable
and quiet place for the students to study. This role requires
many skills: bravery, initiative, courage, concern, vigilance,
and firmness. These men and women are known as the toughest of
all prefects. Any order of command should be obeyed or else...SATURDAY
WORK! We overcome the stubborness of the students, maintain the
neatness of the studyhall, carry out the studyhall rules well,
and try to make the study time fair for all. We strive for the
best and accomplish perfection through the good manners and cooperation
of the Xavier students. -by Ally Anson
Labor Managers
This group of men and a woman work together to keep the campus
clean. They are the most hard working people and always ready
to take on more responsibilities.

Bell Ringers
In order for Xavier High School to move, it needs this group of
essential students called the "bell ringers." Bell ringers
are picked only from the Freshmen class and are mostly boys. Bell
ringers are the most important people on the Xavier campus, although
lower than Papa Jim Croghan. Their job is to ring the bell in
the morning for rise time, morning study, classes, breaks, work,
showertime, girls to leave, night study, bedtime...basically everything.
We live and die by the bell. -Victorious

Dorm Prefects
The dorm is a 24-hour quiet zone and a place where food or drinks
are not allowed for it is a place to rest. The prefects have tried
their best enforcing the rules for the dorm. Even though they
are small, the don't let any of the boys break the rules. They
help the boys go to sleep early, peacefully, and comfortably;
they make sure the boys get enough sleep. The prefects also keep
our dorm looking like a place to live when boys tend to make the
dorm a pigs' pen. -by Douglas B.
